Internal drainage system to waterproof this home in Evans City
Challenge
Fritz called upon Keystone Basement Systems to help with his basement as it was getting moisture and he did not know what to do. Keystone promptly made him an appointment for the very next day, which helped to put his mind at ease. The field inspector then promptly showed up for his appointment and got right into having a conversation with Fritz to go over his worries as well as his questions. Once they completed their conversation the field inspector then jumped right into conducting his very thorough inspection of the problem area. The field inspector's inspection was conducted by taking only the most accurate measurements as well as conducting moisture testing and so many more very needed tasks to get this plan made. The plan was to consist of installing an internal drainage system that was to include 4 cleanouts on it. The plan was also to consist of 2 sump pumps as well as a buried discharge line that measured out to be 25 feet long. The final step in the plan was to include CleanSpace on the walls. CleanSpace is a vapor barrier and also helped with the prevention of mold and mildew. Once the field inspector was complete with his inspection he then returned upstairs to go over his findings as well as the solution and what could possibly happen if they decided to not follow through with the plan. The homeowners were very pleased with the plan and so the field inspector then returned to the office and put this project on the installation calendar.
Solution
Upon the day of installation, the foreman and his crew promptly showed up for their scheduled time and very politely introduce themselves before getting to work. The crew then unloaded the truck and jumped right into digging for the buried discharge line. The foreman and crew then installed the internal drainage system as well as the 2 sump pumps. They then moved on to installing the CleanSpace and then wrapped up by cleaning the basement area that they had just worked in. The foreman then met with Fritz to go over the entire process and how everything worked. The foreman then made sure that Fritz had the phone number of the service department to ensure he could schedule his annual inspection. The foreman also made sure to inform the homeowner that if he had any questions or concerns to please feel free to reach out. Fritz was more than happy with the final result and even said he would pass along Keystone's name to people he knew that had similar problems.
