125 foot long Internal French Drain in Fredricktown
Challenge
Casey and Duane called upon Keystone Basement Systems for help with their 3 basement walls that were getting wet, and leaking onto the floors and the items that they had been storing. Keystone scheduled them for an appointment for the very next day when a field inspector would come out to their home and meet with them before conducting a very thorough inspection. Upon the time of the scheduled appointment field inspector, Jeff showed up promptly for his appointment. He then sat down with Casey and Duane and went over the problem in detail. This is where he learned that the 3 walls that were getting wet were the walls to the back of the house and that that part sat below grade. The field inspector then knew he had to get to work with his inspection because this house needed Keystone's immediate help. The field inspector then went downstairs to take measurements, and pictures and also to perform the various tests that needed to be done to ensure that this plan was a surefire fix. The plan was completed and so the field inspector then returned to the homeowner to go over it. The plan consisted of installing an internal drainage system against the back 3 walls. The plan also included a discharge line as well as a sing stage sump pump. This would all ensure that the water that was seeping in was going to be redirected away from the house and that this basement was going to get dry again. Once the field inspector completely went over everything then he returned to the office to put this project on the schedule for installation.
Solution
Upon the day of installation, the foreman and his crew showed up right on time for their appointment. They all took the time to introduce themselves before getting to work. The foreman met with the homeowners and went over the plan for the day and also scheduled a time during the id of the day to check in and make sure that the homeowners were still understanding and to let them know where the project stood. The foreman and his crew then installed the internal drainage system as well as the discharge line and the sump pump. They wrapped up this job by making sure everything was completely cleaned up. The foreman then met with Casey and Duane once again and went over the entirety of their project. He also provided them with the service department's phone number, this was so that they could call and schedule their annual maintenance as well as if they had any issues or questions. The homeowners were so thrilled to have a dry basement again that they left Keystone a wonderful review and even gave a few referrals.
