 A crack was discovered by the homeowner which was very concerning.  Because there was no previous knowledge of the crack, they were not sure if it was a problem or not.  Service Manager Mr. John Rivera and his team had similar concerns as to whether the crack was actively moving or not.  Thus a crack monitor was installed to verify if active movement was occurring.     After a period of evaluation it was evident that the crack was widening as the result of subsidence.  Excavation of the area ensued.  The soils had compacted, which allowed the foundation to sink.  Push piers were driven down to bedrock to support the foundation independent of the native soils with poor bearing capacity.  Additionally, the crack was stitched using CarbonArmor carbon fiber strapping to ensure it never opened up again.     All of the work received a 25-year transferable warranty.
