This customer in Pittsburgh, PA had a problem with water intrusion in their basement. In search of a local Basement Waterproofing expert, they found Keystone Basement Systems. Upon scheduling a free inspection, we provided them with a comprehensive plan to solve their wet basement issues permanently. During the assessment, it was discovered water was leaking into the basement through the wall/floor joint. The high humidity and moisture level in the basement caused condensation to build up on the concrete block walls. This weakened the paint and caused it to bubble. This indicated that water had been leaking into the basement for some time. After the inspection, we discussed the findings with the homeowner and recommended a permanent solution. The project included installing our WaterGuard perimeter drainage system to collect water at the point of entry. It also included BrightWall waterproof basement wall panels, and the TripleSafe sump pump system. Whenever water seeps through the block foundation wall, it will drain down the back side of the waterproof BrightWall Panels and into the WaterGuard system. The TripleSafe sump pump system was designed to provide maximum protection against basement flooding with three powerful pumps that work together to quickly pump out water from the basement. The system was also equipped with a battery backup pump to ensure that the basement remains dry even during a power outage.
