Photo Album: Foundation Stabilization in Pittsburgh, PA

After seeing our foundation repair services in their local clipper magazine, this Pittsburgh, PA homeowner contacted our office to schedule a free estimate.There was an obvious unevenness to the floor above their basement and exterior porch.There were also "soft spots" in the floor, in addition to them being uneven. The homeowner was concerned that the unevenness and soft spots were indicative of foundation issues, and wanted to be sure that the problem was addressed properly before it caused any further damage. Our field inspector confirmed that the foundation was in fact unstable and needed to be repaired, and provided them with a comprehensive solution that would address the issue and provide permanent stabilization for their home. The main support beam in the basement and the porch support columns had water damage and rot. Due to the damage, the floors above became uneven and bouncy. We repaired the damaged beam by replacing it with a steel reinforcement beam. The most effective solution to lifting the area above its original position was to install SmartJack Support Posts.       Holes were dug out in the basement concrete to prepare a solid base for the jacks to be installed on. Once the base was cured, the Jacks were installed and attached to the steel beam.
