Job Stories From Armstrong County, PA
Church needs a external french drain in Ford City

This church needed a external french drain installed. They knew exactly who to call, Keystone Basement Systems. They chose to call them because one of the members of the church had work done one their basement and couldn't have been happier. Keystone sent out one of the best field inspectors to meet with the pastor and go over the issue before conducting his very detailed inspection of the problem area. The pastor said he felt more at ease knowing that keystone was on the project and that he couldn't wait for it to get done, because the basement was getting wet and the church stored items down there that he didn't want to get ruined. Keystone quickly got to work with the measurements and testing that had to be done to ensure the external french drain was properly installed. The field inspector also suggested that a sump pump be installed in the basement as a back up to the drainage system. The field inspector then sat down with the pastor once again and explained the results of his inspection and the plan that he came up with. The plan involved not only the drainage system and sump pump but also new downspouts and down spout connectors. The pastor understood everything and was thrilled to have it all done, seeing as how this was going to save his items in the basement and make his parishioners very happy.

Basement Waterproofing System Recommendation in Yatesboro, PA

We were contacted by this Yatesboro, PA homeowner to provide a free basement waterproofing inspection and estimate. The homeowner was concerned about water seeping in through the basement walls and wanted to make sure that the structure of the home was not in danger of being compromised due to water damage. During a thorough inspection, it was discovered that there were cracks at the wall/floor joint where water was seeping through. For a permanent solution, we recommended the installation of our CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier system to stop water from leaking through the walls, WaterGuard interior drainage system to collect water from the walls and floor, the TripleSafe sump pump to remove the collected water out of the home, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep humidity levels low and eliminate musty odors.

Wet Basement Solution in Adrian, PA

An Adrian, PA homeowner was seeking a permanent solution for a water issue in their basement. The homeowner had a persistent problem of seepage and leakage in the basement, leading to the formation of puddles and humidity. The water issue caused damage to the flooring, stored items, and posed a safety hazard as well. Our solution to solve this problem for good was to install our WaterGuard Interior Perimeter Drainage System, a TripleSafe Sump Pump, a wall vapor barrier system, and the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier.

The WaterGuard Interior Perimeter Drainage System collects and guides water towards the TripleSafe Sump Pump, preventing the accumulation of water in the basement. The TripleSafe Sump Pump then ensures the reliable and energy-efficient removal of water away from the home. The wall vapor barrier system prevents moisture from seeping through the walls, while the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier reduces humidity and prevents the growth of mold and mildew.

Garage Falling Down Hillside Repair

The garage was sliding down a hill because of years of erosion. Only the back wall was an issue. The side walls were footed and pinned with rebar rods into the footing. We elected to constrain the rear garage wall via CarbonArmor tied into the competent side walls.

Piering a Sinking Foundation Corner

In the home situated within Templeton, Pennsylvania, a recurrent issue manifested in the form of a downspout misdirecting water against the abode's exterior. Over an extended period, the soils beneath the rear-left corner gradually subsided due to consistent moisture exposure. Consequently, fissures emerged in the foundation, indicative of structural compromise.

Regrettably, despite receiving an initial estimate from Keystone Basement Systems, Inc., the homeowner opted to postpone remedial action for a duration spanning seven months. During this period, observable deterioration necessitated an expansion in the scope of repairs to mitigate the escalating damage.

Upon eventual acknowledgement of the situation's severity, the homeowner engaged Keystone's services to address the compromised foundation. The adjustment in repair strategy corresponded to the heightened exigency of the situation, accommodating the accrued deterioration observed over the intervening period.

Thus, through collaborative efforts between the homeowner and Keystone Basement Systems, Inc., interventions were initiated to rectify the structural impairments, underscoring the criticality of timely action in preserving the integrity of residential foundations.

Downspout Extensions

The residence exhibited deteriorated terracotta buried downspout leader lines, resulting in their collapse and subsequent inefficacy. This structural issue led to water infiltration into the basement. Upon engagement with Keystone Basement Systems, a comprehensive assessment was conducted. It was discerned that the installation of a novel buried line utilizing SDR 35 pipe was imperative to address the situation. A new line spanning a distance of 50 feet from the property was meticulously laid out. The culmination of this endeavor was marked by the integration of a lawnscape outlet, thereby ensuring proper drainage and mitigation of water-related concerns.

Flooding Basement in Cadogan, PA

Recently, we tackled a challenging basement waterproofing job for a homeowner in Cadogan, PA. The homeowner was experiencing a frustrating problem - water was invading their basement, damaging their belongings and leaving them with no effective way to drain it. Understandably, they wanted to safeguard their space and items from further damage, so they reached out to us for help. Our approach to solving this problem started with a visit from one of our System Design Specialists. After a thorough inspection of the basement, the specialist recommended an effective three-pronged solution - installing our WaterGuard drainage system, TripleSafe Sump Pump, and CleanSpace encapsulation. The WaterGuard system was designed to intercept water at the perimeter of the basement, directing it efficiently to the TripleSafe Sump Pump. This pump is a real workhorse, capable of handling high volumes of water and even has a backup system to ensure operation during power outages. To further protect the homeowner's basement, we installed CleanSpace, a durable liner that acts as a barrier against moisture and water vapors, radically transforming the basement into a dry, cleaner space. Our skilled team carefully and efficiently completed the installation, making sure the basement was left clean and the homeowner's belongings dry and secure.
