Internal French Drain
Challenge
Melanie found Keystone Basement Systems on Facebook and knew she had to talk with someone right away. She was very happily surprised to get an appointment right away. Keystone Basement Systems sent out one of their best field inspectors Brian McWhirter, who sat down with her before preforming his expert inspection of the problem area. Once they were done talking he got right to work, and quickly discovered that she had major cracks in her basement walls and even some bowing. He had also seen some pooling of water around the base of her walls and this gave him concern, so he knew he had to work quickly to come up with a fantastic plan to get this house dry and safe again. The field inspectors plan was to install a internal french drain system with a discharge line and a singular service port, aka cleanout. He also knew to take care of the structural issue he had to use some Rhino carbon fiber straps and also point crack the crack that were in the wall. he once again sat down with the homeowner to go over everything and see if she had any further questions or concerns. She stated that her only concern was getting this done as soon as possible, in which Brian reassured her that it would be happening very shortly and with great expertise.
Solution
Keystone then quickly set her a date for installation, this thrilled her. The foreman and his crew arrived and he introduced himself as well as his teammates. He explained what was going to going on that day with the install and made sure she was totally confident in her understanding before getting to work. The foreman and his crew then dug and installed the internal drain system, installed the single stage sump pump and the discharge line. They then moved onto in install the carbon fiber straps and point cracked the cracks in the wall. The foreman then showed Melanie everything and explained how it all worked. She was so happy with the result that she gave Keystone a 5 star review and a referral.
