Walls cracking in Bentleyville
Challenge
Katherine and Jeremy found Keystone Basement Systems online and called them with concerns with the cracks in their basement walls, and how this was letting moisture in. Keystone promptly mad a appointment for one of their best field inspectors to go out to them. Field inspector Jeff showed up promptly for his scheduled appointment and sat down with the homeowners to talk with them about the issue before doing a in detailed inspection of the problem area, this is done to ensure he comes up with a plan that's going to not only fix the issue at hand, but also ensure the safety of the homeowners. Upon his inspection Jeff had found that this house was in desperate need of some Rhino carbon fiber straps, as well as a support post with independent footing. The plan that he came up with also included 40 linear feet of wall be point cracked and then a crack monitor be installed as well. The crack monitor is a device that is added to a crack to monitor it over time, usually for a full year to determine the movement of the crack during all four seasons. Once completed with his inspection and coming up with the plan he then sat down with Katherine and Jeremy again to discuss it, and also to let them know the importance of getting this issue fixed as soon as possible. They all agreed that it was to be fixed right away so Jeff returned to the office and scheduled it out for installation.
Solution
Keystone sent out one of their best foreman and his crew to first sit down with Katherine and Jeremy to let them know what was going to be going on with their install, and also to make sure they didn't have anymore questions or concerns. Once they were done talking the foreman and his crew quickly got to work. They installed the Rhino carbon fiber straps, and the support beam. They then installed the crack monitor and the point crack. Once completed with the project they walked the couple through to show them everything and go over how everything works. They also talked about how great Keystone did, according to both Katherine and Jeremy, they even gave a 5 star review!
