Crack monitor in Export
Challenge
Jason and Jill knew that they had to call upon an expert to help with their wet and cracked basement, so they called Keystone Basement Systems. Keystone very urgently set an appointment for a field inspector to go out and meet with them before he/she could perform their inspection. The field inspector, Jeff, that was sent out to them was more than interested in hearing their concerns and going over all of their questions to help put their worried minds at ease. He then quickly got into performing his inspection using all the right testing and taking only very accurate measurements and even installing a crack monitor to help with further information on the area. The crack monitor was placed on the wall in line with a crack and would remain in place for about a year, this was done to monitor that the crack wasn't getting bigger or that the wall wasn't moving. Upon completion of his inspection, the field inspector then returned to the homeowners and went over the plan in a very detailed way so that they could understand not only the steps that needed to be taken but also the results of this project was going to take place. Once the homeowner was onboard and he and the field inspector went over everything the field inspector then returned to the office and got this project scheduled for installation.
Solution
Upon the day of installation, the foreman and his crew promptly arrived at the home and introduced themselves. The foreman then went over everything with the homeowner once again while the crew got to work unloading the materials off of the truck. The foreman and crew then got straight to work installing all of the internal drainage system as well as the sump pump and the buried discharge line. They then moved on to fixing the cracks, by point cracking them, and then placed the monitor on the biggest crack there was for further monitoring. The foreman and his crew then went on to clean up and make sure everything was back in its proper place. The foreman then met with both Jason and Jill again to go over everything and to make sure that they had the telephone number for the service department so that they could schedule their annual service appointments and also so that they could call if they needed anything at all. The homeowners were very thrilled with the final results and have had no moisture problems since the installation. This made them extremely happy and they gave Keystone a 5-star review.
