CleanSpace in Saxonburg
Challenge
Aldolfo called Keystone Basement Systems because he had water coming into his basement through the walls and did not know what to do about it. Keystone sent out one of their best field inspectors to talk with the homeowner about the problem and conduct a very detailed inspection of the problem area. This inspection was conducted so that the field inspector could then come up with a custom fit fix for this house, you see every project that comes through at Keystone has to have a custom plan because every problem is different and every home is also different. The field inspector's plan was to install a TripleSafe sump pump, a buried discharge line, and some new downspouts. The water was coming in through the walls but had started at the downspouts, so those needed to be replaced and redirected. The wall issue was then resolved by installing some CleanSpace which is a vapor barrier. Like our other wall systems, it can hold back water vapor passing through your foundation walls, directing it to your sump pump. With anti-microbial protection called UltraFresh built right in, no mold or mildew will grow on the CleanSpace! Once the field inspector and Aldolfo spoke about the plan and went over every detail that needed to take place the field inspector then returned to the office and scheduled this out for installation.
Solution
Upon the day of installation, the foreman and his crew promptly showed up for their appointed time. They then got right to work installing the downspouts and digging for the buried discharge line. Once the line was in they then went into the basement and dug and installed the sump pump and made sure the connection to the discharge line was intact. They the jumped to installing the CleanSpace on the walls and wrapping up this project. The crew then cleaned up while the foreman met with Aldolfo to go over how everything worked and what number to call if he had any issues or questions. They then packed up and returned to the office where they found out that Aldolfo was so excited about the new dry basement that he left Keystone a 5-star review.
