WaterGuard in Fairmont Wv.
Challenge
Kristen and Andrew knew they had to find a professional to help with their wet basement., so they got onto the internet and found Keystone Basement Systems and reached out to them right away. Keystone then scheduled a filed inspector to go out to their home and meet with them to go over the problems they were having before conducting his very detailed inspection of the problem area. Field inspector Nick Hensley promptly showed up for his scheduled appointment and sat down with both Kristen and Andrew and discussed the issue at hand, making sure to cover both their concerns and questions with great precession. Nick then jumped right into his inspection as now he knew how urgent it was to have this project completed for these amazing homeowners. The field inspector conducted his inspection by using only the most accurate measurements and performing very thorough testing, among various other tasks that needed to be done to ensure the accuracy of this custom made plan. The plan involved installing WaterGuard , as well as some CleanSpace on the walls. For a typical basement, our WaterGuard® system is the ideal choice for waterproofing. This French drain is designed to be installed below the floor slab, resting on top of the foundation footing. This keeps the drainage system out of the "mud zone", where drains can clog. WaterGuard® is installed with minimal invasion of the slab, and all concrete is restored after installation.
The WaterGuard® system collects water that seeps through basement walls and drains it to your sump pump. The system installs quickly and has a clean finished appearance, meaning you don't have to worry about having an unsightly drain around the basement. WaterGuard® works for both block walls and poured concrete, ensuring that your basement remains dry in all situations. This product also comes with a written lifetime warranty. After completing his inspection and having his plan down to the very detail the field inspector then met with both Kristen and Andrew to go over everything and make sure they wanted to move forward with getting their home dry again. Once they were done with their discussion the field inspector returned to the office to put this project on the schedule for installation.
Solution
Upon the day of installation, the foreman and the crew that was assigned to this project showed up very promptly for their scheduled appointment and quickly yet politely introduced themselves before jumping right to work. The foreman went over the details of what was going to be taking place during the installation and even scheduled a time to meet with Kristen and Andrew about half way through the job to go over what was done and what needed to be done still. He said that was also another opportunity to ask more questions or even to let him know what they thought so far. The foreman and his crew then got to work installing the WaterGuard and then CleanSpace. The foreman then went over everything with both Kristen and Andrew while the crew made sure to clean up the area. The homeowners were very happy with the final results of the project and left Keystone a wonderful review and even mentioned that they would be more than happy to refer Keystone to anyone they knew that had basement problems.
