Internal French Drain in New Florence
Challenge
Ken called upon Keystone Basement Systems to help him with his wet basement. He had met with Candie at the home show and knew right then and there that Keystone was a great fit for him. Keystone scheduled Ken right away for his appointment to sit down with a field inspector and to get his free estimate. The field inspector, who happened to be Kelly Blackburn, showed up right on time and they got to talking about the said problem area. Field inspector Kelly is well versed in waterproofing, as he sees about 500 basements a season on top of going through very extensive training and re-training every week, this is done to keep up with the waterproofing industry. The field inspector and Ken went down to look at the issue and that's when Kelly knew he had to get right to work on the plan for this home. Kelly uses his inspection to come up with the best custom fit plan for these homes, as every problem is different and needs to have its own solution. Kelly then took all the right steps in his inspection, including but not limited to , measurements, moisture testing, and so much more. The plan was finally together so Kelly returned back upstairs and met with Ken once again to go over it all. The plan was to consist of an internal drainage system with a clean-out, as well as a buried discharge line and a LawnScape. LawnScape is made to evenly distribute the water that is being pumped out of the house evenly into the yard away from the house. Once Kelly and Ken wrapped up talking about it Kelly returned to the office and got this on the schedule for installation.
Solution
Upon the day of installation, the foreman and his crew promptly showed up for their scheduled time and very politely introduced themselves. The foreman then stayed with Ken to go over what to expect for that day while the crew got to work unloading the truck and setting everything up. The foreman and his crew then got to work installing the items on the plan making sure to do so with the utmost accuracy. Once they were completed with this task they made sure to clean up and meet with Ken once again to show him how it all worked. Ken was thrilled to see this project was complete and to know his home would be dry once again.
