Internal French Drain
Challenge
Jose and Dolores called Keystone Basement Systems due to the fact that when they retired they had more time at home, and so they noticed moisture getting in when it rained. Keystone knew they had to send out one of their best field inspectors they had for this specific issue, Aaron Stull. Upon arrival for his scheduled appointment, Aaron politely introduced himself and had a very detailed conversation about the issues that they were having with their basement. Field inspector Aaron then learned that this was their home for a long time and that they wanted this home to stay in their family for many years to come. The field inspector wrapped up the conversation and moved forward to conducting his inspection. The problem area had just recently gotten wet, it rained so hard that this poor basement had almost an inch of water in it. The field inspector knew right then and there the plan he came up with going to be unique and a perfect fit for this home. The plan was established by not only seeing the issue but also by taking measurements and conducting various testing. The field inspector also made sure to take very detailed pictures of the problem as to not only put them in the file but to also help the install crew to be able to fully prepare their trucks and themselves. The plan consisted of installing an internal drainage system that had a cleanout on it and was attached to a buried discharge line. The plan also included a TripleSafe sump pump and a speedy drain. The field inspector then returned upstairs to meet with Jose and Dolores again to go over the plan and that is when they all agreed that this needed to be done as soon as possible. The field inspector then returned to the office and got this poor house on the schedule for installation.
Solution
Upon the day of installation, the foreman and his crew arrived right on time for their appointment and met with the homeowners to introduce themselves before working in their basement. The foreman then stayed with Jose to explain what was going to take place, as the crew went downstairs to unload the truck and get to work. The foreman went over everything in great detail and even scheduled a mid-day check-in with the homeowners. The foreman and his crew then got to work installing the internal drainage system as well as the TripleSafe sump pump and then moved outside to install the buried discharge line. Upon completion of this project, the foreman met with the homeowners once again to go over everything and to provide them with the service department's phone number. This phone number is provided to the homeowners to ensure they can schedule their annual service calls as well as if they have any issues they can call and we will send our service guy out to them in a timely manner. The foreman and crew were all cleaned up and ready to leave when they were told how grateful the homeowners were to have Keystone complete this project!
