Laterial drainage system installed in Summerhill, Pa.
Challenge
Homeowners Bruce and Naidene called and scheduled an appointment with Keystone Basement Systems to help with their wet basement. The field inspector that was scheduled with them was Jeff Martello who has been doing inspections on wet basements throughout Pittsburgh for several years and is an expert in this field. The field inspector knew that this was going to have to be a custom plan for this home due to the fact that no two homes have the same issues, very similar just not the same. The field inspector then got into conducting his very thorough inspection and was able to tell this house was very old and was in need of a great plan. The plan was to involve a lateral drainage system as well as a TripleSafe sump pump and a buried discharge line. The plan was a surefire fix to this home's issues. The field inspector then went over everything that was in the plan with the homeowner before returning to the office to put it on the schedule for installation.
Solution
Upon the day of installation, the foreman and his crew showed up for their scheduled appointment right on time and jumped right to work. They first unloaded the truck and made sure they had a pathway to the area they needed to work, the basement was kind of full of items that the homeowners needed to store for their daughter. The foreman and his crew then installed the lateral drainage system as well as the TripleSafe sump pump and then quickly moved back to the outside to work, this is where they installed the buried discharge line. The foreman and his crew then made sure to clean up and load the truck back up with their tools and other items. The foreman then met with the homeowner once again to go over the completed project as well as to give them the phone number for the service department. Bruce and Naidene were so happy with the entire process that they left Keystone Basement Systems a great 5-star review.
