Basement Waterproofing and CleanSpace Wall Membrane in Uniontown, PA

Basement Waterproofing in Belle Vernon, PA

Wet Basement for 15-Years

After inspecting the clients home for water penetration, it was determined that the foundation drainage had failed long ago.  The client had owned the house for 15-years and it had leaked the whole time.  The owner tried multiple attempts to fix the issue.  he had the yard regraded, gutters and downspouts updated and even dug external drainage himself!  Finally, after the basement took on an inch of water, he decided to have the issue fixed by a professional.  He called Keystone Basement Systems.

Inspector Brian McWhirter determined that WaterGuard would give an ideal result and installed the system in 1-day.  The homeowner was pleased and even wrote a kind online review.

TripleSafe, CleanSpace, CarbonArmor Installed in Connellsville, PA

Connellsville, PA resident Francine was nervous about the state of several of her basement walls. Already having a waterproofing system that was installed incorrectly and now has failed has led to areas of her walls that had become riddled with large cracks and had begun to bow inward slightly, This damage made Francine worry that, if left unaddressed, they might collapse. she wanted to have the problem taken care of quickly and professionally, so she called Keystone Basement Systems.

In order to secure the damaged walls, field inspector Nick designed a system that removed the inferior waterproofing system, installed a new system that took into consideration her exposed footer, used CarbonArmor to stop any additional movement in the walls, and finally encapsulated it all with CleanSpace. Foreman Chris and his crew went straight to work installing these products cleanly and efficiently. The TripleSafe sump pump contains three pumps. One main pump and two back up to ensure the sump pump is operating even when the power goes out.  Our CarbonArmoer wall reinforcement product. Lastly, the CleanSpace, a vapor barrier encapsulation system that ensures no water or mold builds up on the walls. Now this homeowner has peace of mind that her home will be safe and dry for years to come!

Waterproofing in Hopwood, PA

This Hopwood, PA resident was tired of dealing with water in his basement every time it rained.    There were also large cracks in the foundation walls because they had begun to bow slightly.  Water would come in through the cracks in the walls, and the basement always seemed to be wet.  The resident wanted to get the problem solved so he could use his unfinished basement for storage. WaterGuard is an effective way to permanently waterproof any basement.  It is installed on top of the footing rather than beside it, so it does not become clogged with the dirt and debris from below.  The WaterGuard piping system collects any wall seepage and carries it to the sump pump, where it will be pumped out and away from the home.

The TripleSafe sump pump is a reliable three-pump system.  If the first pump fails, the second pump takes over.  If pump 1 can’t keep up with the amount of incoming water, both pumps 1 and 2 work to get the job done.  If power is lost, a third battery operated pump automatically turns on.  It also has a WaterWatch alarm system that sounds off when the water rises above the operating range of the pumps, warning the resident before any damage can occur.

All of these products worked together to keep the homeowner’s basement dry all the time.

CleanSpace and a few sump pumps

This Business owner had called in because he bought a property that had 3 sump pumps on them and one had an alarm that was going off and he didn't know what to do. After reading over the pump he found that it had a waterproofing companies name on it, however they were not opened anymore and so google brought him to our website. Keystone Basement Systems sent out one of the best field inspectors they have to further look over this issue and see what needed to be done. Upon completion of his inspection he knew that a new sump had to be installed, so he came up with the plan of installing the TripleSafe sump pump and some CleanSpace to make sure the outside moisture did not come in and they didn't have a mold issue down the road. The  CleanSpace® Wall System, like our other wall systems,  can hold back water vapor from passing through your foundation walls, directing it to your sump pump. With anti-microbial protection called UltraFresh built right in, no mold or mildew will grow on the CleanSpace!

Custom structural apparatus

This landlord called Keystone Basement Systems to have them come out and look at the foundation of one of his rental properties. The tenant had informed him of some walls having cracks in them and the fact that appeared that it was bowed. Keystone quickly set him an appointment with one of their best field inspectors to go out and speak with him as well as perform his very detailed inspection of the problem area. The field inspector knew the situation was urgent when the landlord told him that the tenant was ill and he was not comfortable letting her live in the home in the condition it was in. The field inspector got right to work performing his inspection, this was done by processing the moisture tests, to get a better feel of the cause, as well as taking measurements of the wall and the cracks that are in it. This inspection needed to be done to get an accurate plan to get this house fixed. The plan was to install an internal french drain, to help with the water issue that the field inspector found. The home also needed some custom-made structural apparatuses and 4 I-beam support beams. After installing these items, this home was sure to be structurally sound, which made both the landlord and the tenant very happy.

The field inspector jumped right into conducting moisture tests as well as taking very accurate measurements. The field inspector knew that the plan that he came up with had to be a permanent fix that wouldn't let these homeowners down. These homeowners called Keystone Basement Systems because they had a water issue in their basement they didn't know what to do to fix. Keystone promptly scheduled them and an appointment for the very next day for one of their expert field inspectors to go out to the house. The field inspector showed up promptly for his appointment and sat down with the homeowners to talk about the issue at hand, he knew right then and there that this was very urgent to have fixed because the homeowners expressed all of their concerns about having health issues if it wasn't fixed soon. Both of these homeowners already have asthma and the moisture that is seeping in makes it worse. The field inspector then jumped right to work conducting all of the proper moisture tests and taking very accurate measurements. The field inspector spotted one of the issues very quickly, as it was able to be seen with just a quick look. The issue that he had noticed so easily was that the home had too many downspouts running into one 4-inch pipe. The field inspector then returned back inside and upstairs to sit down once again with the homeowners and go over his plan. The plan consisted of installing an internal drainage system with a service port, or aka cleanout. It also included the installation of 2 sump pumps as well as a buried discharge line. The final step in this plan was to install some new downspouts and a speedy drain. Once he and the homeowners went over everything, and he knew they were comfortable with the plan, the field inspector then returned to the office and scheduled this for installation, which was going to take place in less than a week. This also made the homeowners very happy and helped to put their minds at ease. On installation day the project took  way and was completed with no bumps and the home quickly got dry and safe for the homeowners once again.

Keystone urgently sent out one of their best field inspectors, Tim to sit and discuss the issue with them before performing his very detailed inspection of the problem area. The field inspector discovered that this homeowner had concerns about her mother falling and getting hurt on the uneven concrete. The field inspector then quickly got to work conducting his inspection, making sure that this plan was going to fix this problem so that she didn't have to worry anymore about her mom.
