TripleSafe Sump Pump

The homeowner called in because she was getting water seeping into her garage where she kept some personal items that she did not want to get ruined. Keystone sent out field inspector Darryl Butler to meet with her and then to give an inspection of the problem and also a way to fix it. The homeowner and himself sat down and after speaking to her he preformed the task of evaluating the issue. The field inspector came up with the brilliant plan to use WaterGuard, a buried downspout with drainage connecters, and the ultimate tool in waterproofing the TripleSafe Sump Pump.   The TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System provides three levels of protection for your basement and your peace of mind. For normal functioning, the TripleSafe™ has a powerful, cast-iron Zoeller® â…“ horsepower sump pump set at the lowest level. For heavy volumes of water or in case of primary pump failure, a second, more powerful Zoeller® ½ hp pump set a bit higher in the liner will take over. In case of a power outage, our UltraSump® battery backup sump pump, set at the highest level, will pump 11,500 gallons or more on a fully charged battery!

Driveway Drainage

The rectory had an asphalt driveway that had a slight slope into the garage. During heavy rains the garage would flood. If the air was severe enough, the whole basement would flood. In order to stop this a threshold drain was installed to catch the water before entering the garage.

The drain was oversized and rated for car weight. The position was such so that it intercepts the water and moves it to a pump. The pump then transfers the water to the road.

Reinforce Floor Platform

The home was 120-years old and the wood supports of the first floor were compromised. Most of the wood was strong and sound, with the exception of the ends that rested on the wall. Those were indeed rotten and the floor was sinking. Rather than replace all of the wood, a steel under-support was added to leverage the good wood and bypass the bad. This saved the client about 50% on the repair cost and still received a lifetime warranty.
